About PIARC

Phillip Island Adult Riding Club was formed in 2005 and currently has 18 members.

PIARC members have access to the show-jumping arena, menage and open area of the club grounds, (the Ventnor Recreation Reserve, corner of Lyall Street and Graydens Road, Ventnor), for general riding and training, along with the opportunity to learn and train with top quality instructors at our monthly rallies (generally the 3rd Saturday of each month), and can also take part in club ‘goings-on’ at our monthly meetings (the 2nd Wednesday of each month).

Instructors include Ginny Creed, David Boyle, Cynthia Bossema and Oswald Johnen for dressage, and Shane Simpson and Missy Horner for jumping.

PIARC uniform colours are black & pale blue and branded clothing (polos, t-shirts, vests, polar fleeces) and saddle blanket logos can be organised through Logos Unlimited in Cowes (tel: 03 5952 5477). Contact the committee for further information.

Rally costs vary from month to month depending on riding numbers and instructor cost but, as a guide are approximately $70 for private lessons, $30 – $40 for semi-private (2 riders) and around $25 for a shared lesson (4 or more riders). Our membership at present is more slewed toward dressage, however several of our instructors are also jumping specialists and when interest is shown either a gymnastic, poles or jumping session will be included in the rally day.

Rally notifications and information are published on this site by the Club Rally Co-ordinator three weeks in advance and final lesson times are published in the week prior.
